Commodities/Contracts Manager MBA, Professional Engineer, CPM or professional designation is beneficial.
Responsible for the Coordination of the Procurement and Contracting activities relating to the development and execution of engineering projects. Communicate with the key Project Personnel on an ongoing basis and provide reporting updates, ensure milestone dates are obtainable and met, thorough communication and follow-up within the Project Team and Procurement. Ensure compliance with the Major Projects Procurement Protocol. Assemble the resources required to ensure the effective coordination of Contract Services, Procuring Major Materials and Equipment, Procuring Commodity Materials, Materials Management Expediting / Material Receipts Logistics services relating to materials and equipment, drawings and documentation. Ensure Procurement processes and procedures are followed and SOX processes are consistently followed.
Provide the Project Team with Procurement Progress Reports. Ensure Third-Party Services adhere to agreed schedule. Ensure Procurement adheres to the Project schedule and costs (to the extent possible) for all Procurement activities. Promote and ensure high standards of ethics with suppliers and contractors. Promote and ensure Company Safety Programs are communicated to those supporting all Procurement and Materials
Management activities including materials handling activities. Ensure Material Receiving Activity allowing on time payment to Suppliers. Ensure Third Party Factory Inspection process.
